Dawgs Meet the Eagles
for a Preseason Warm up The Dora Bulldogs met the Sumiton Christian Eagles last night for the first time in a preseason Jamboree game at Horace Roberts Field. Both teams got a chance to work out the kinks before the regular season starts next week. Not sure what the score was because scoring in Jamboree games is different but the Dawgs showed dramatic improvement over last year's team. Both teams have new coaches this year. Martin Glover, who is a graduate of Dora High left Sumiton Christian after last season to take over as head coach for the Bulldogs. The impact of Glover's new offensive and defensive schemes were apparent last night as both squads looked sharp. For photos of Friday night's game, click here. |
