Bulldog Band Competes
at the Southern Invitational Marching Festival & Contest by Sharon McFall |

| The Dora Bulldog band competed at the Southern Invitational Marching Festival
& Contest at Sprayberry High School in Marietta Georgia on Saturday
October 18. In Festival they received the following ratings: Drum Major - Excellent; Percussion - Superior; Dance - Superior; Guard -Superior; Band - Superior (received trophies for all). In Contest that evening they ranked 4th (out of 9 bands) and received an Outstanding Performance trophy. The Auxiliary units (combined Guard & Dance) received "Best in Class" that evening (out of again 9 bands). This contest is judged really hard in olympic fashion and the bands they competed against were from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. They were able to also see many really good big bands at this contest. On Sunday, they went to Six Flags for the day - as an "end of the year" trip. Click here to see more photos from the trip. |
