Ashley Dale Attends Leadership Program
Ashley Dale recently attended the Alabama Youth Leadership Program at the University of Auburn at Montgomery. Ashley was just one of about 130 other students representing their schools from all over Alabama. Ashley was chosen to represent Dora High School at the end of her Sophomore year.
The AYLP conference brings together a select group of high school sophomores to interact with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education and other professions to discuss present and future issues. The goal is to provide the youths a stimulating forum for learning about the American system and demorcratic process while broadening their understanding of their leadership potential and quest for self-development.
"The conference challenged me to think about the world around me and what we, as the furute leaders have to do to positively influence business, government and society" Ashley said. " I also better understand that my goals and dreams are important and that leaders have extreme responsibilities in whatever walk of life they pursue".
