The Dora High School Marching Bulldogs traveled to Marietta, Georgia this
weekend (October 16) to participate in the Southern Invitational Marching
Festival and Contest at Sprayberry High School.
They performed their best shows of the season on Saturday where they
received Superior ratings in Drum Major, Dance, Guard, Percussion and
Band. That evening in contest the Auxillary units (combined dance and
guard) received "Best in Class". This marks the end of their
competition season and the Bulldog Band deserves lots of kudos. They have
received superior ratings at all of their marching contests this year,
Homewood, Minor and now in their last major contest at Sprayberry.
In other kudos this season the DHS Band was award ABC 33/40's "Band
of the Week" and the following week was Fox 6 "Band of the Week".
